Police allege Dea Donja Williams, 34, of 2206 Twin Ave., Gastonia exposed his private parts to a woman at a Wal-Mart store on Myrtle School Road.
The incident was reported to police on Saturday. Williams was charged Monday.
In July, when Williams was in court for a previous indecent exposure charge, his attorney told the judge his client needed mental help more than incarceration. However, Williams can only get the treatment he needs when he’s on probation, Gaston County District Attorney Locke Bell previously said.
“They have to be on probation to force them to get treatment,” Bell said.
Since Williams faces only misdemeanor charges, that jail time could be around 45 to 60 days.
Williams’ previous indecent exposure charges include exposing himself to three women at a Gastonia park, a woman at a Gaston County Family Services Building, a woman in a Gastonia church parking lot and a woman and her teenage daughter outside a probation office. He is a registered sex offender.
