Two Gaston County men hit it big in the North Carolina lottery this week.
Michael McClain of Stanley won $50,000 in the Feb. 28 Cash 5 drawing.
McClain's ticket that matched all five balls was purchased at the Wilco convenience store at 1523 N.C. 16 in Denver. He took home about $34,000 after paying state and federal taxes. He collected his winnings Monday.
Robert Lee Clemons of Bessemer City collected his $10,000 win on Monday, too. He winnings came from the "$120 Million Cash" instant scratch-off game. He bought his ticket at Linwood Family Mart in Kings Mountain.
Clemons took home about $6,800 after paying state and federal taxes.
