Police look for suspect in larceny

Police are looking for a woman suspected of forging checks from a Belmont electronics company.

According to the Gaston County Police Department, the woman stole checks from Industrial Electronics Co. at 221 Georgia Belle Ave., Belmont and attempted to forge and cash them.

The suspected woman is also wanted in crimes out of Lincoln County and York, S.C. Police allege she’s been using identification from other states and fake names to cash the checks all taken from Industrial Electronics Co.

The larceny happened on Feb. 21.

Police believe she may be driving a silver Chevrolet Impala, Malibu or a blue Ford Explorer.
