A man hit by a train in Gastonia Thursday night is recovering from his injuries, but is also facing charges. Gastonia Police have charged Anthony Gerome Sanders, 50, of
According to police, the two were on the railroad tracks, owned by Norfolk Southern, when a train came by. The engineer blew the horn to alert the couple.
McCray moved out of the way, but Sanders did not. He was clipped by the moving train.
Police say he suffered severe but non life-threatening injuries from the hit. His leg and head were injured.
He was transported to CaroMont Regional Medical Center. Friday, he had been treated and released.
McCray is also charged with trespassing on a railroad right of way.
Norfolk Southern Railroad Police and Gastonia Police are investigating.
