A man who left his wallet on a Shelby convenience store counter reported it stolen last weekend, along with $45 in cash, a debit card, driver’s license, birth certificate and a Gaston County library card valued at $1, according to Shelby Police.
Video surveillance showed a white woman wearing a purple jacket walk up behind the man, grab an item off the counter beside him and put it in her pocket, according to a Shelby Police report.
The woman then walked out the door of the Fast Stop Market on East Dixon Boulevard, according to the report, and the victim canceled his debit card and the video was placed into evidence.
No further information was available in the report.
