Bridge to be repaired Tuesday

N.C. Department of Transportation officials will repair the U.S. 29/74 bridge on Tuesday.

The bridge stretches over the Catawba River in Gaston County.

Officials say the spot that needs repaired is in the right westbound lane. Work is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. and should be finished by 6 p.m.

One eastbound and one westbound lane will be closed to traffic along the bridge.
