CONCORD, N.C. (AP) — The North Carolina Transportation Department plans to close some lanes on Interstate 85 in Cabarrus County for some work.
The Charlotte Observer reported (http://bit.ly/1ikzwBm) the right lanes on both sides of the highway will be closed for several days. The closures are planned from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. now until as long as Jan. 17.
The closures will be just north of Exit 52 near Concord.
Crews will be tearing down a temporary bridge used to haul heavy equipment and materials into the median as part of the I-85 widening project.
