Police say one bank teller stopped a man from passing a fake check for more than $800.
According to police, Kyle David Flood, of 945 N. College St., Charlotte, went to People’s Bank in Denver on Monday afternoon. He attempted to cash a check for $852.67 from a Lincoln County business.
The business had an account with the bank, but the teller asked the man to wait while she contacted the business. While the teller was calling, police allege, Flood left the bank.
His identification and the check were both seized.
Flood is charged with forgery and uttering, but has not yet been arrested.
