McAdenville, AKA as Christmastown USA, kicked off the holiday season with its Christmastown Bowl Parade on Saturday.

Spectators and participants flocked to Main Street on Saturday morning to watch and wave to those riding in cars and trucks.
McAdenville will continue to celebrate the season with its annual tree lighting on Dec. 2 and the annual Yule log parade and ceremony on Dec. 13.
The annual lights display, which attracts locals and tourists, illuminates the town nightly from Dec. 2-26.
The Christmastown 5K race and 1-mile walk will be Nov. 30, beginning at J.M. Carstarphen Bridge in McAdenville. Event organizers say all registration spots are filled.
