Man pulls knife in fight, both charged

A man and woman face charges after a knife was pulled in a fight.

According to police records, Khadijah Antionette Banks, 22, and Billy Eugene Brown, 40, both of 802 Evening Shade Lane, Gastonia got into a fight at their home.

Brown alleged that Banks had hit him during the argument. Brown responded by pulling a knife, police said.

According to police reporters, Banks feared that Brown would use the knife. Both were charged.

Banks was charged with simple assault and placed in Gaston County Jail on a $5,000 unsecured bond. Brown was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and given a $5,000 unsecured bond.
