Lincoln County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a home in the 4700 block of N.C. 73 in Iron Station on Thursday to check about a four-wheeler parked beside the home that could be stolen.
A check of the vehicle identification number indicated it was stolen from a nearby residence around Jan. 5, officials said.
While at the home, deputies talked with Dustin Edward Thomas, 20, and searched the home. They found 219 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a stolen shotgun, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Thomas was apprehended and charged with two counts of breaking and entering a building, possession of stolen goods, and larceny after breaking and entering.
He was also charged with felony drug possession with intent to sell and deliver, maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
