CONCORD, N.C. (AP) — State transportation department officials plan to close some lanes on Interstate 85 in Cabarrus County for some construction work.
Crews plan to take down the bridge on N.C. 73 over the highway as part of a plan to widen I-85. The work will take place between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. each night, starting Wednesday. The work is expected to be completed by June 6.
The project will expand I-85 from four to eight lanes.
